A Northern Iranian bronze sword, 10th - 9th century BC, The bronze sword forged in two parts, the root of the blade overlaid by the grip, which extends down into a sharp point on each side. Of rectangular cross-section, the hilt reinforced at the upper and lower edges. The saddle-shaped, hollow pommel sloping up into fans on each side, these both extending outwards and edged with a profiled moulding.
