Coloured axial computed tomography (CT) scans through the abdomen of a 52-year-old man with a large cyst on his left kidney (at right in each scan). The cyst is the large mass (17 centimetres across) filling one side of the abdomen. This is a CT scan under intravenous iodine injection.
