Phojbe and Cynthia are the only ones at home. In1852 Mr. Wilhelm came to Clinton County, Indiana, where his wifedied January 12, 1885. He had accumulated $800 but he and hiswife were both sick for some time and $500 was consumed. Hebought eighty acres of land for which he was to pay $800, and wasobliged to give his note for $500. Through his untiring industryand excellent management Mr. Wilhelm has accumulated a hand-some property, having added to his original purchase of eightyacres in Forest Township 390 acres, now owning 470 acres ofchoice well-improved land. He has erected a large brick residencewhere he and his family are surrounded with all the necessarycomforts of life, Mr. Wilhelm is a worthy member of the Ma-sonic fraternity, belonging to Middle Fork Lodge, No. 304, and isone of the respected citizens of Forest CHAPTER XX.
