Firefighters fought and extinguished a blaze in a flat on the ground floor of Albert Mansions in Kensington Gore, London. The fire gutted the flat and burnt scaffolding surrounding the building. There were no injuries and a fire brigade spokesman said the fire was quickly brought under control. The fire never endangered the adjacent Royal Albert Hall.
