It has a delicate anddelicious scent, not unlike that of auratum, but lessheavy and overpowering. This Lily has not as yet been much grown; ahighly favourable account of it from a carefulamateur in Kent should be an encouragement totry it in all gardens where the suitable conditions ofpeat and moisture can be obtained.
