The soil should be rich and mellow, and the seeds scattered about 3 inches apart in drills from 3 to 352 inches apart, and covered about 2 inches deep. The plants will need frequent hoeings, but should never be cultivated when the leaves are wet with dew or rain, as this will cause them to rust. Successive sowings made at intervals of about 2 weeks until the middle of July will give a plentiful supply of Beans throughout the season. One quart of seed will sow 100 feet of drill; 2 bushels will sow an acre. For Beans sent by mail add postage at the rate of 8 cts. 5-cent packets sent postpaid. sr pint, 15 cts. per quart. A very popular variety, more generally cultivated than any other sort, and in our trials it has proved itself superior in " respects to the so-called Improved Golden Wax. Finer pods, better color _ and more tender. The vines are hardy, productive; pods long, straight, flattish, very fleshy and wax-like, and of the best quality.
