Cro-Magnon fossil skull measurements. Researcher measuring the parameters of a fossil skull. This specimen is part of a set of 30,0000-year-old fossils found at Eyzies-de-Tayac, south-western France (1868). Cro-Magnons are a form of early modern humans (Homo sapiens sapiens) that inhabited Europe from around 35,000 years ago. The skull measurements will be used for the reconstruction carried out by the Daynes Studio, Paris, France. Photographed at the Institut de Recherche Criminelle de la Gendarmerie Nationale (IRCGN) at Rosny-sous-Bois, France.
