Hanging wall shields displaying Coats of Arms of several important Florentine families plus 15th -16th-century furniture at the National Museum of Bargello. There are the works of Giovanni Della Robbia and other Florentine artists who produced glazed terracotta art during the 16th century. The museum is one of the oldest buildings in Florence dating from 1255 at Florence in the Tuscany region of Italy. The museum has had a very colourful and bloodied history. During the 18th century, it served as the city’s prison. The Museum has a collection of sculptures such as the works of Donatello, master of Renaissance sculpture (1386-1466) and Pietro Francavilla (1548-25-1615). He was a Franco-Flemish sculptor trained in Florence. Elsewhere in the museum is a display of grand ducal collections, the largest Italian collection of 14–17th century Gothic and Renaissance sculptures.
