PERFUME INDUSTRY
Extraction of cosmetic compounds from plants. This is a traditional craft of cosmetics shops. In June, flower petals are placed in cold-pressure extracted virgin olive oil where they are left to macerate in large vials left in the sun. The oil become a bright red and takes on cosmetic properties useful for burns, sunburns, and insect bites.
