Three and possibly 4 LAP alleles occur in the Provincetown population, with the allele of highest frequency being of identical mobility as the "cold-water" allele found along southern Cape Cod. However, the water in the Provincetown Harbor where the material was collected is quite warm in the late summer (about 22° C). 973 LAP (3.
