The acre cost of corn bhiders varies greatly, but on about half the farms where used it was between 25 and 45 cents per acre. Two sled har- vesters cost less than 10 cents per acre. The corn shockers re- ported were used on a much lower acreage than the corn binders, with a much higher acre cost. The wide variation in size and first cost of ensilage cutters makes the average of doubtful value.
