It will thus be PLATE T. .3-r| Z- 1- TM?)—- .-^i OPENING The archivolt or moulding running round thearch should be the same width as the pilaster(less any necessary clearance for the mouldings)-—that is, about one-eighth of the width of theopening, which should also be the height of theimpost cap to the bottom of the necking. Furtherdetails as to the members will be found on FlateVII. -4H- ^ z: ?^ ^ IMPOSTS AND ARCH MOVLDS. TVSCAN DORIC IONIC Plate Mouldings. Details are here given of impost mouldings, with their archivolts, suitable for the differentOrders. The divisions of the imposts are allsimple and similar in each example, the heightof the corona and of its mouldings above, if any, being equal to the height of the mouldings below, which, again, are equal to the necking. Thebead and fillet below the necking are one-sixthof the height of the impost, the bead being doublethe height of the fillet. The projection of theimpost beyond the line of the pilaster is equal tothe height of the corona and member over in the first two Orders, while the projection of thecorona itself is equal to this height in the lasttwo. The pilaster is square on plan, and, therefore, the plan of the archivolt is represented by*thissquare upon which the mouldings are placed. Anexamination of these mouldings will show thatthey resemble the architraves given for their re-spe
