An Illyrian type helmet,7th/6th century Bronze. The skull with a crest base contoured by double ridges,large,rectangular face cutout surmounted by a horizontal reinforcing ridge and a perforation on the forehead. Wide,pointed cheekpieces with holes for the chinstrap,small lateral recesses,nearly horizontal sloping neck-guard with two small pierced holes for the attachment of a crest,the perimeter bordered by a raised ridge and a row of ornamental rivets.
