Light micrograph showing the anterior lobe of a rat pituitary gland stained with Gabe's aldehyde-fuchsin method. In the anterior lobe, this method selectively stains the thyrotrophic cells. The Orange G included in this method stains the acidophilic cells (and also the red blood cells in the vessels).
