This wall is one of the most representative examples of the II Pompeian style and illustrates well its characterization. The scene represents the propylon of a building with an internal colonnaded portico glimpsed through apertures half revealed by curtains hanging down over the partitions which flank the entrance door. The central element of the composition, framed between two Ionic columns, is an imposing paneled door.
