BUILDINGS AND Observatory consists of a Main Building, containingcomputing rooms, library (of 3000 books and 3000 pamphlets),and the domes of the 36-inch equatorial and the 12-inchequatorial; and Detached Buildings to shelter the MeridianCircle, the Transit, the Horizontal Photo-Heliograph, theportable Equatorial, and the Crocker Photographic THE LICK OBSERI rA 7V A Y. 11 On the grounds are dwelling houses for the astronomers,students, and employes, and shops for the workmen.
