Grave of Heloise and Abelard at the Pere Lachaise Cemetery Paris France

The grave of Heloise and Abelard was one of those originally relocated at Pere Lachaise at the beginning of the 19th Century to encourage people to be buried at the Cemetery which was at first thought to be too far from the centre of Paris There is some doubt as to whether their remains are actually there but the popularity of the cemetery both as a final resting place and a tourist attraction is very evident
