These are without doubt the most admired of any of our summerflowering- plants, and succeed well in any good garden soil, even underthe most ordinary conditions of culture. Light or gravelly soils pro-duce the best results, for in rich soils they show a tendency to run toleaf. Nothing can equal the tall varieties for covering fences, veran-das or unsightly outhouses, or by pegging down the stems to theground a handsome bed can be had.
