Commemoration ceremonies were held in Poland. The tragic death of President Kaczynski has polarized the country for many years and has become a politicized debate topic. Many of the supporters of the current government, the Law and Justice party, as well as ministers, including the Minister of National Defense, Antoni Macierewicz (PiS) continue to question the official cause of the plane crash, while the opposition party, the Civic Platform Party (PO) have repeatedly said the tragedy was an unfortunate event that was coupled with incompetence and lack of organization.
