Hesettled in Chester and established a largepractice, Iemaining there twenty years,when he removed to Manchester, in 1884,where he renuiined through life, his son,Dr. James S. Brown, having been associ-ated with him in practice the last elevenyears. He was a Congregationalist in re-ligion and a member of the Franklin of Manchester. In 1865 he mar-ried Miss Abbie Scribner of Hanover, whodied in 1903. The following year he mar*ried Mrs. Marinda B. Martin of Hooksett,by whom he is survived, also by a son anddaughter.
