Treetop forest laboratory. Researcher in a forest laboratory checking sensors measuring the rate of carbon absorption by leaves. She is operating from a footbridge in the tree tops. This laboratory is operated by the CEFE (Centre d'Ecologie fonctionnelle et Evolutive), the largest French research centre in ecology. The laboratory is located in a holm oak forest near Puechabon, southern France. The research includes assessments of climate change. Photographed in 2007.
