Frons more or lesspruinose, especially at the top and the sides,with a longitudinal groove; frons black-haired or v^ith yellow hairs above, vertexyellow-haired with a few black hairs infront. Epistoma distinctly grey pruinose,of a characteristic flat shape; it is veryslightly hoUowed, almost straight from theantennæ to the central knob, and this latter is thus slightly prominent,but broad; between the knob and the not protruding mouth edge theepistoma is very slightly hollowed, the lower part is not prominent. Eye-margins somewhat nar-row, a little pruinose, with longish, white hairs. Antennæ small, the basaljoints black, the third roundish, brown or brownish red; arista short-pubescent. Thorax æneous or dark brassy, very finely punctate,shining; it is clothed with medium long, ereet, yellow hairs; there areblack hairs in the præsutural depression but no distinct notopleuralor supraalar bristles and only one well developed postalar bristle;scutellum with distinct but not strong marginal bristles.
