Carolina. A dwarf-growing species, rarely exceeding 12 inches in height, and producing during May and June masses of bright ro^y-red flowers. Divaricata Canadensis. One of our native species, which is worthy of extensive planting, commencing to bloom early in April, and continuing through May, with large, fragrant lavender flowers on stems 10 inches high. Panlculata. This is the parent of all the showy varieties now in cultivation.
