A hemispherical brimmed Italic helmet, 6th century Bronze. The large hemispherical skull distinctly offset from the lower part by a high fuller. Sturdy reinforced brim encircled by an incised leaf-shaped décor band. On the crown a double perforation of the crest holder, a ceramic hump riveted to either side, originally covered by bosses of sheet bronze. A small pierced tab above the forehead and a corresponding rivet hole on the back for anchoring the crest. Height 20 cm, diameter 26 x 26,5 cm, weight 1193 g. Red-brown to dark green patina.
