Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, slender, the 2nd joint reaching about to vertex of bead and moderately fringed with scales in front, the 3rd moderate; frons with Inrge round corneous process with raised edges and corneous plate below it; eyes large, round ; of male laminate and ciliated, with ridge of scales between them ; thorax clothed chiefly with scales and without crests; tibiaj sliglitly fringed with hair ; abdomen without crests. Fore wing with the costa, strongly arched, the apex produced and acute, tlie ternien excurved at middle, oblique towards torniis and slightly crenulate ; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; f) from upper angle ; '.( from 10 anasto- mosing with S to form the areole ; 11 from cell. Hind wing witli veins 3, 4 from angle of cell; 5 obsolescent from well below middle of discocellulars ; 6, 7 from upper angle or shortly stalked ; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. 4580.
