Gosenken no Yakata Museum introduces five artists who contributed to the development of this area of Shiga Prefecture.  Displayed are exhibitions of Souo Washo, Kaiho Yusho, Katagiri Katsumoto,  Ono Kozan and most notably Kobori Enshu who was a feudal lord as well as master of tea ceremony and one of the most renowned of all designers and creators of Japanese gardens - of which an example of his work is illustrated outside of the museum.
