Colonel Shadwell join our army in Canada, the Superintendents of Classes of the International Exhibition presenting him with a memorial and a handsome signet ring in token of their regard, which were given last week (on the eve of the gallant gentleman's departure) at the Society of Arts. We engrave the device from the illuminated device is emblematical of Peace and War, the caduceus being replaced by the sword; the open book of the departed year with the closed book of the future year.
