New York Police (NYPD) Officers watch as people gather to celebrate Israel's 73rd Yom Ha'Atzmaut (Independence Day) amid the coronavirus pandemic in Times Square in New York Ha'Atzmaut began at sundown on April 14th and ended on April 15th but the event was held on a Sunday and organized by the Israel American Council (IAC). Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic the annual "Celebrate Israel" parade which is usually held in June along Fifth Avenue was officially held virtually.
