WWII - A printed photograph of British Wrens ( Women's Royal Naval Service), at work in a Naval operations room as plotters tracking the positions of various formed in 1917 for WWI, thendisbanded in 1919, only to be revived in 1939 at the beginning of the Second World War. Integrated into the Royal Navy in 1993. In 1939, Vera Laughton Mathews was appointed as the director of the re-formed WRNS with Ethel (Angela) Goodenough as her deputy
