5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 4, 2018) Marine Corps Cpl. Evan Ziska, assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, performs maintenance on a torque sensor from a CH-53E Super Stallion in the hangar bay of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Iwo Jima, homeported in Mayport, Florida, is on a regularly scheduled deployment to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
