5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (July 21, 2018) An SA-330 Puma helicopter, assigned to the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Richard E. Byrd (T-AKE 4), delivers supplies onto the flight deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) during a replenishment-at-sea. Jason Dunham is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
