The gun maker's signature, "Joseph Lowenz in Wien" is inlaid in silver on the breech. Spring-loaded breech block. Iron lock plate, brass side plate, receiver, and trigger guard are richly engraved with leafy vines. Iron valve pin on the left side. Walnut stock with horn nosecap. Replacement ramrod.
