2LT Dakota Neil Lawler (hometown Paducah, KY) is the son of Leonard Lawler and Trena Elliott. His fiancé is Ashley Holley. 2LT Lawler earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Kentucky in 2014 and currently holds a position as a nurse at Baptist Health Louisville. 2LT Lawler enlisted 6 June 2009 in the Kentucky Army National Guard. He attended RSP with the 2/75th R&R BN, Co. C Det. 2 in Richmond and will be branching Medical Service Corps, assigned to the 63rd TAB in Frankfort.
