Mary Ward House is a fascinating Grade 1 listed building built in 1898 and financed by the wealthy philanthropist Passmore Edwards. Mary Ward, the novelist and social reformer, was the inspiration behind the endeavour to provide a centre of training, care and entertainment for the less fortunate in society. Each finely proportioned room has its own unique character and ambience, from the distinctive library to the extensive Mary Ward Hall. There is also a large outdoor courtyard and garden which provides a tranquil haven in Central London.
