JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS, Va. -- J. Kevin Altman, 633d Air Base Wing executive director, donated this hat to be put on display at the 633d Air Base Wing Heritage Hall at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Nov. 18, 2022. The 633d ABW can be traced back to Pleiku Air Base in the central highlands of Vietnam, where Airmen with the 633d Combat Support Group offered medical and infrastructure aid when establishing a relationship with the local Montagnard people, who gifted crossbows as a token of appreciation, creating the Crossbow Nation.
