Portrait of Mrs. Raphaelle Peale (Margaret McGlathery Peale) (?), 1st quarter 19th century. An affidavit affixed to the back of this miniature asserts that it was painted by Charles Willson Peale and depicts the artist's daughter-in-law. However this seems unlikely. Its companion piece is closer in style to the work of Raphaelle Peale, but this portrait of a woman in a plain muslin dress may be by a different hand. The frame is not original to the painting.
