The exciters are of 50 kw. capacity at 125 volts, eachcapable of furnishing exciting current for two maximum guaranteed load. Each unit, generatorand exciter, weighs approximately 65 tons. The generators, under official tests, showed an effi-ciency of per cent at 2000 kw„ power factor; cent at 1500 kw., power factor; and per centat 1000 kw., power factor. The guaranteed temperaturerises of 40 degrees C. above room temperature, of 25 de-grees under continuous operation at full load and 55 degrees. Current limiting reactances were provided to give 5 percent reactive drop, at 2500 , 2200 volts, 3-phase, 25cycle. While the generator windings are sufficiently rigid
