His parents were DonaldMcDonell and Mary McDon^U, his lifes maiden name being Nellie OCon-ner. He has six sons ald three daughters. He is a Scotch-Canadian, aCatholic and an independent. His farm, which is composed of 100 acres, West y^ Lot 19, SecondConcession, R. R., has live stock on it of 32 head of cattle, 9 horses 12 swmeand about 75 fowl. It yields, each year, 600 bushels grain, 50 tons hay, 100 tons. JOHN R. McDONELL AND HIS HOME corn, with potatoes, vegetables and fruit for own use. There is a sugar bush ofabout 600 trees. Mr. McDonell has been a farmer throughout his life, and a patron of theCheese Board for twenty-one years. He sends daily 300 pounds milk to the Glen-garry Creams Factory. He is also an exhibitor and prize winner on horses andcattle at the Williamstown Fair.
