Not the least valuable point connected with the Brussels Sprout is that it is as hardy as the common Curled Greens. The |^l^^SS^S^^ common Cabbage is hardy enough in a young state, but /'\ when full grown and hearted, frost soon destroys the largest heads, which rot and fall to pieces. Not so the Brussels Sprout; being small and hard, it is not in the least affected t*®&ffijlfflB^ by frost. The real Sproul is not much larger than a marble, ^W^\^^^^^M'Si^^^^> and as firm and hard almost as the stalk itself. These are [H^^^^^Nft i'-'^, tf&Mbr^ sy.' the sorts which rooks prefer.
