Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit verify gear serial numbers aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) at White Beach Naval Facility, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 21, 2018. The Marines verified the gear to ensure all required gear and supplies arrived aboard the Wasp. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible force ready to perform a wide-range of military operations in the Indo-Pacific region.
