Medics with the 1077th Medical Company – Ground Ambulance, Kansas Army National Guard, assess a mannequin “casualty” as part of a culminating training exercise at the Medical Simulations Training Center at Fort Carson, Colorado, June 15. Soldiers participated in the Medic Sustainment 24-Hour training, an advanced course testing them on a wide variety of skills like chest tubes, urinary catheterization, oral tracheal intubation, and even how to treat military working dogs, all topics not normally covered in basic 68W medic courses.
