London, UK. 15th March 2017. LSE researcher, Lisa MacKenzie is arrested by police outside the offices of Noonan for alleged assault. Cleaners from the London School of Economics (LSE) and supporters from United Voices of the World stage a protest and picket outside the university building before marching to and occupying the cleaning contractor company, Noonan. The cleaners are striking for a London living wage and better working conditions, to bring them in line with equivalent grade staff that are directly employed by the university including sick pay, pension rights and paid leave from contractor Noonan.
