14th Aug 2012. A horse-drawn canal boat near Bootle in Merseyside on the Leeds-Liverpool canal heading towards Liverpool on August 14, 2012. On arrival at Liverpool's famous waterfront, it will be the first ever horse-drawn canal boat at the Liverpool’s city canal link. The visit, which was organised by the Horseboating Society, marks the completion of a 128-mile journey which began at the east end of the Leeds-Liverpool canal in April.
