Pyracantha (firethorn) flowers
The fragrant earl summer flowers of the evergreen shrub Pyracantha, also known as firethorn because of it being armed with vicious sharp thorns. The flowers are followed by bright red, yellow or orange berries in autumn and throughout winter, provided the birds don't consume them all for their Christmas dinner!
