Poznan, Greater Poland, Poland 23th March 2018. Black Friday - National Women's Strike. On Monday 19th March, a group of deputies from the ruling party, Law and Justice (PiS) and Kukiz15, in the Justice and Human Rights Committee, gave a positive opinion on the draft Stop Abortion Act. The initiative, which leads Kaja Godek to lead, wants to tighten the already restrictive anti-abortion law in Poland. On Wednesday or Thursday, the parliamentary Social Policy and Family Commission was to take place. Plenary voting was also planned. However, it turned out that at the last minute these plans were moved to the April meeting. The current law allows for abortion only if prenatal tests or other medical reasons indicate a high probability of severe and irreversible impairment of the fetus or an incurable disease that threatens his or her life.
