Isaac Reed, August 12,1825. Mr. Reed at that time was laboringunder appointment of the Connecticut Mis-sionary Society, and lived in Owen County,near Gosport. He says that to form thischurch required much previous labor inpreaching, visiting and traveling. This or-ganization afterward became Duringits existence the members held meetings iitthe Methodist church. Among the earlymembers of this society may be mentionedJames M. Ilillis, Mrs. llillis. Mh.
