Stone foundations of a C4th Roman watchtower on the summit of Holyhead Mountain looking W over Gogarth Bay. Used to observe movements of Irish Sea raiders & pass warning signals down to Caer Gybi (Holyhead) naval base. The tower was built beside (& from) a presumed Bronze Age cairn now topped by a trig point. Holyhead to Ireland ferry in distance.
