Daniel, Son of IsaacIn 1705 Daniel built the old stone house or fort which is stillstanding, with its iron figures, showing the date of erection,and the port holes in the eastern walls for safety against In-dian attacks, and the window high up on the western find Daniels name in the list of freeholders in 1728; alsoin the release from the proprietors of the Paltz Patent to Solo-mon DuBois, in 1729.
