Before the schools began using this cloth for makingbags and cushions, it had been used mainly for partitions,curtains, a sort of blanket, and for purposes requiring acoarse, tough wrapping material. But when the schoolsbegan using daet as an industrial material, there was ademand for a better grade than that which was beingproduced. Finally it was decided to make the cloth in the schoolestablished in this barrio.
