Vertical night time image of the hustle and bustle on the Ponte Vecchio with mopeds zooming passed in a blur of lights. The Ponte Vecchio, Italian for Old Bridge, is a famous medieval bridge over the Arno River, distinctive with it's many shops mainly jewellers built along it. It is Europe's oldest segmental arch bridge. Believed to have been first built in Roman times it was originally made of wood until it was destroyed by a flood in 1333 and rebuilt in 1345, this time in stone.
